  4. Here's an idle bit of musing that crossed my semi-consciousness today...

  6. What do think of the idea of having Patrick McGoohan play the part of The 
  7. Doctor in Doctor Who?
  8.  
  9. Remember that Pat's got a few years tucked under his belt since we saw him in 
  10. things like `Silver Express', `Ice Station Zebra', `Escape From Alcatraz', 
  11. `Danger Man', `The Prisoner' and that other awful American series he did...
  12.

  15. 1) He's well known internationally.
  16. 2) Even though he's Irish, he's still `British' enough to play the part 
  17.    convincingly.
  18. 3) He's a natural eccentric with a wicked sense of humour.

  22. 1) Viewers will still associate him with `The Prisoner' perhaps?
  23. 2) It's returning to the idea of having an older man play the part (maybe not 
  24.    such a bad idea IMO).

  26. Or what about Patrick McNee as The Doctor, with Joanna Lumley as his athletic 
  27. assistant? Nahh, forget I mentioned that last bit! 8-)
